I’m Melissa (Mish to my friends), and MISH Studio is me. I make handmade ceramics and home fragrance for homes that feel more personal, more colourful and a little more collected.

I’ll be honest. For years my home was (and still is, guilty!) cream, oatmeal and “safe”. It looked nice. It just didn’t look like me.

When we moved into our new house with all our old furniture, I realised just how neutral everything still was. So this time I’m doing it differently. I’m collecting, not just decorating.

where it started

MISH Studio began as Scented Studio Co in 2023, pouring wax melts and diffusers that make a room smell as good as it looks. Same love for beautiful scents, now with clay on my hands too.

every piece, by hand

Every piece is made by me in my little studio in Melbourne, Victoria. I roll each slab and shape it by hand. I test every colour on tiles before it goes anywhere near a vase, and I find the colours in the things I love, like a beach at sunset. Then each one gets the MISH stamp.

I make in small batches, so pieces are often one of one. Glazes run, drip and pool a little differently every time, and you’ll see the marks of my hands. That’s the best part.
